FAQs for Massachusetts Parents Interested in Tutoring

Which High Schools in Massachusetts do you usually serve?

While we’ve helped students from almost every school in Massachusetts, most of our program is represented by high schools such as Boston Latin School, Boston Latin Academy, North Quincy High School, Braintree High School, Lexington High School, Malden High School and Canton High School. This is just a sample list. We’ve worked with students from many other schools.

Is it possible to take an 1200 SAT to 1400?

Yes. It happens all the time. Jumps like this usually take about 6-9 months. That being said, this requires hard work, determination, and committment to listen to our coach’s guidance.

Are there High Schools that tend to have a more lenient time in Northeastern University or Boston University admissions?

We believe that Boston based schools O’Bryant, Boston Latin Academy, and Boston Latin School all have preferential treatment in the application process at Northeastern University and Boston University.

Is it possible to take an 1100 to a 1500 on the SAT?

This type of score jump is less common. We will be honest about what we can achieve and typically we are confident that we can move 1100-1200 scores into the 1400+ region. If a student is already at 1350 SAT, we have confidence that we can bring them towards 1450-1520.

How does the Coaching-Student pairing process work at Tigerway?

Our Program Director or Program Officer will understand your son/daughter’s strengths and weaknesses in a brainstorming call. From there, we will assign a coach who is best positioned to help your teen’s specific profile.

How does your Coaching Program work?

Our Coaching program will have Private Coaches help you on the SAT Exam, your College Planning journey. Private College Consulting is included complimentarily in our coaching programs.
