How We Hire Our Coaching team

Tigerway hires the best Undergraduate Coaches from Top 50 U.S. Colleges because University students are the closest peer group to high school students and uniquely understand the challenges that students have to face on standardized testing and the college application system.

Many of our Coaches are former successful Program Alumni at Tigerway who have skyrocketed their scores 200-300 Points on the SAT to earn a 1400/1500 on the Exam and got accepted into top Universities across the U.S.

They have gone through the process. They know how to help you.

We prioritize qualities like Reliability, Strong Communication, and Proactiveness far more than just intelligence in our hiring process. We want Coaches who genuinely love education and want to help others succeed. This means that we deliberately select Coaches that we believe Parents and Students will Enjoy working with.

Tigerway’s Founder

Larry Cheung, CFA is the Founder & Coach at Tigerway for its flagship group-based programs and is responsible for works with his Coaching Team to help students achieve their college admission goals. He has helped over many first generation college bound students get into their top colleges. Our values are based on critical thinking, compassion for learning, and strong propensity to provide for our future communities. Tigerway is Larry’s mission to help teen youth unlock their potential.

Over the past 10 years, Tigerway has overseen the growth of nearly 4,000 student team members from the East Coast succeed on the SAT Exam and achieve their college acceptance goals.

Tigerway’s General Advisor

Peter Kwok (right on photo) is the Program’s General Advisor. He graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and provides specialized insights for Tigerway’s college consulting programs.
